This Megalodon tooth is approximately 109mm (4.3 inches) along the diagonal, and 76mm (3.0 in) across the root, and weighs 153 grams. It was found in the Southeastern United States.

The name Megalodon means “big tooth” They grew up to sixty (60) feet long and weighed over sixty (60) tons—three times the size of the largest great white sharks, making them one of the largest predators to ever live. Like all sharks, their skeleton was made of cartilage, which rarely fossilized, so their teeth and vertebrae are the only fossils we find. Their teeth grew to up to almost seven and a half inches but were usually three to four inches long.
